Manufacturer's product description

" Available in 15kg eco packs, our Beef Cold Pressed working dog Food is a complete grain-free British dry food for working and active dogs, and is gently pressed with sweet potato, carrot and turmeric in our Scottish factories.

We gently press our ingredients at low temperatures to retain nutrients, helping aid digestion and promote all round health. Our recipes use only quality ingredients to help improve your dog's skin, coat and immune system.

Designed specifically with the working dog in mind, our food contains a higher protein content for extra energy, includes all the vitamins and minerals any active working dog needs to maintain health and vitality, and is VAT free.

New and Improved - Alongside our new recyclable paper bag packaging, we have also updated our recipes to include a higher meat content and have introduced glucosamine and chondroitin to help protect active dogs' joints.

It is important not to over feed, as cold pressed dog food is nutritionally dense you will need to feed around 30% less than traditional kibble. When introducing Wilsons for the first time, ensure you gradually switch over from your previous dog food. Read our feeding guide for more information.

Remember to provide a ready source of fresh water and store food in a cool, dry area. "

Our Lab has been on Wilson’s for around 6 months now and it’s a great food with no adverse effects to her pooping regime as others have stated.

Decent price and quality.

I’ve found the same as others, needing to transition my 3 large dogs from raw, after research cold pressed seems a good choice, tried Forthglade first which was ok but expensive and saw this which will be more cost effective and seemed a good balance of budget vs quality, but the amount of poo is insane, transitioned carefully, can’t see how any of this food can be digested as more appears to be coming out than going in causing accidents in the house when there has no problem before (they weren’t always raw fed and never experienced anything like this) thought I might be over feeding a bit so cut back the amount below the guide amount a bit which has helped a little with the poos but now they are struggling to keep weight on, maybe doesn’t suit a less active breed as it is promoted for working dogs

This is more nutrient dense and should be fed in smaller quantities than traditional kibble but also even less if you're feeding a less active breed, this is tailored to cover the nutrient requirements of working animals (or at least very physically active ones) so if this isn't your dog then portions should be altered significantly from the feeding guides stated.

It's akin to eating like a bodybuilder when your most intense weight lifting is done in the pub haha

The amount my dog craps on this is confusing to me , from an average of 2 a day on a raw diet to 5 or more poo’s a day on this stuff surely that’s not good ?

Just started feeding three of mine with this. I have never before seen them pooing so frequently and producing such a volume of waste. Not sure if that means it doesn't quite agree with them.
